The Impact Band as it is being called is one of the latest protection gears which has been released by Tech 21. The usual thing about this product is the bump which protects the screen but the better about this is the bump on the rear side to protect the fantastic glass finish.
Now how come this has come to specific mentioning when there are so many of them already doing the same work!!.. this thing is a beast, its made up of a new composition called the D30 , a military grade shock absorption material. This makes this product best in the business and the toughest to crack.
This orange putty is called D30. It has an extremely useful property: flexible under normal condition, upon impact all the molecules bind together turning the soft putty into a solid block. Thus resisting the impact. Its a non newtonian fluid i.e in a this the relation between shear stress and shear strain is non linear unlike in newtonian fluids thus a constant coefficient of viscosity can't be determined. Here the viscosity is time dependent where in it increases upon the application of stress which in this case it impact. as and when the stress reduces it becomes normal.
Although the cost is but higher than all its peers, it worth betting. Nice technological improvement.
