GMail drive is basically a shell name space extension that creates a virtual file system around your Google account . As you install this it creates a virtual drive like your other drives under "my computer".
You can simply drag n drop your files into this drive and it automatically gets stored in your google account. Each time you drop a file, an email is automatically generated and the file is sent to your inbox as an attachment, which also has the download option to it.so you can just paste the file into the drive from your home and download it from your inbox at office..GMail Drive periodically checks your mail account (using the GMail search function) to see if new files have arrived and to rebuild the directory structures..
We have found it very satisfactory upon usage and we recommend this to every netizen who doesn't want to loose his files or data. And of course, its a great tool to fill up your 6GB of storage space allocated to you by google.
