Sony NWZ-S738F Walkman (8GB, black)

The good: The Sony S-Series Walkman is nicely designed and has a high-quality feel; it offers a load of cool extras such as integrated noise-canceling, an FM tuner, podcast support, and a smart playlist creator. In addition to the usual array of multimedia support, the Sony S-Series Walkman offers many other desirable features. There's an excellent-sounding FM radio with an autoscan mode and up to 30 preset slots. It's also the first Walkman to integrate podcast support with a separate menu item dedicated to the function, and it will remember where you last left off in a file. A light piece of software that comes in the package (called simply Content Transfer) allows users to drag-and-drop podcasts and other media directly from the iTunes interface. It will also transfer content from anyplace else on your hard drive, though podcasts transferred in this way get placed in the general music menu under the podcast genre, rather than in the specialized podcast menu. Alternatively, you can use a jukebox such as Windows Media Player to manage content. The display is bright and crisp, and the interface is customizable and easy to navigate. The player sounds great right out of the box and features several sound-enhancement options. It has Rhapsody DNA and works flawlessly with Amazon Video On Demand.

The badThe bad: The S-Series Walkman maxes out at 8GB and doesn't include memory expansion. The packaged earbuds, which are necessary for the noise-cancellation feature, may not be comfortable for all users. There's no voice recording option.

The bottom lineThe bottom line: Thanks to excellent sound quality, integrated noise-canceling functionality, and several smart music sorting options, the Sony S-Series Walkman is a superb choice for music aficionados.

ITERASI- the new bookmarking trend

The moment you see an interesting website, you save it to your bookmarks for future reference. Thus, with time, you have created a huge list of favorites that’s not just long but is spread across different places like Firefox, delicious, Google Bookmarks, Opera, etc.
Now imagine if we are able to back up all the bookmarks from every browser then it will make great sense..Iterasi has come up with an interesting solution of keeping a back up for all out bookmarks in a very simple way.
We just need to upload the containing all the bookmarks and rest will be Handled by them. once u upload the file it gets permanently stored in your account and Iterasi periodically checks the updated pages for all the book marked sites..here one more good feature is that we can set the time for the refreshment of the sites..
And guess what ..all this is for a fabulous cost $0. but its not directly available for download as it is still in beta stage , so one has to just register their email id's .
Two versions are currently available i.e. for IE7 and firefox 2 n firefox 3.

google's maiden browser - CHROME (beta)

On this Tuesday i.e 2nd Sept Google has finally released its maiden browser called CHROME.
basically this is a web browser with a Google imprint on it.with CHROME Google has finally entered into the much lucrative segment of web browsers.Currently this market is having 3 Major players viz. Microsoft, Mozilla and apple in which Mozilla occupies the highest share in the market followed by Microsoft and apple.
last week Microsoft released its premium browser IE8. The release of CHROME is seen as Google's answer to Microsoft.
Now coming to the new features section in CHROME it has a powerful java script called V8 which Google claims, powers the next generation web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers. One more feature which Google explains "By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites.we improved speed and responsiveness across the board" . the other features include safe browsing (user data will not be sent to Google) and there are many technical changes which will make this browser compete with others effectively. Now coming to speed, as per our observations there is no such "dramatic" increase in speed, IE and FIREFOX are far better than this.but the overall look is fresh, elegant and simple. But remember this is still a Beta version, so many changes will be done before the final product is released.
