The bad: The S-Series Walkman maxes out at 8GB and doesn't include memory expansion. The packaged earbuds, which are necessary for the noise-cancellation feature, may not be comfortable for all users. There's no voice recording option.

The bottom line: Thanks to excellent sound quality, integrated noise-canceling functionality, and several smart music sorting options, the Sony S-Series Walkman is a superb choice for music aficionados.

google's maiden browser - CHROME (beta)

On this Tuesday i.e 2nd Sept Google has finally released its maiden browser called CHROME.
basically this is a web browser with a Google imprint on it.with CHROME Google has finally entered into the much lucrative segment of web browsers.Currently this market is having 3 Major players viz. Microsoft, Mozilla and apple in which Mozilla occupies the highest share in the market followed by Microsoft and apple.

last week Microsoft released its premium browser IE8. The release of CHROME is seen as Google's answer to Microsoft.

Now coming to the new features section in CHROME it has a powerful java script called V8 which Google claims,powers the next generation web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers.One more feature which Google explains "By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites.we improved speed and responsiveness across the board" . the other features include safe browsing (user data will not be sent to Google) and there are many technical changes which will make this browser compete with others effectively. Now coming to speed, as per our observations there is no such "dramatic" increase in speed, IE and FIREFOX are far better than this.but the overall look is fresh, elegant and simple. But remember this is still a Beta version, so many changes will be done before the final product is released.

iphone is an apple company production.it was launched worldwide on july 11. but due to some reasons best known to apple it could not come to India.but now we too will be able to have a look of iphone from august 22nd.
The two major GSM operators in our country i.e. AIRTEL n VODAFONE are launching the iphone simultaneously on august 22nd.and the good news is that both have announced the prices for different models, but the bad news is that its "too high"..quite opposite to what we all anticipated.

EXPLOSIONS IN DIFF PARTS OF INDIA

President Pratibha Patil urged people to "remain steadfast in this testing time and maintain peace and harmony".
Ahmedabad was the scene of sectarian violence between Hindus and Muslims in early 2002 which left hundreds dead.
On Saturday, 17 blasts within an hour struck residential areas, market places, public transport and hospitals.
It is thought the explosions were caused by crudely-made devices containing ball-bearings and other shrapnel, hidden in boxes and on bicycles.
The BBC's Damian Grammaticas in Delhi says the attacks appear to have been highly co-ordinated. More than 100 people were wounded.

Local media reports say a little-known Islamist group called the Indian Mujahideen claimed responsibility in an email to a television channel.
Police have carried out a raid on a house near India's financial capital Mumbai (Bombay), where they believe the email originated from.

The attack in Ahmedabad - Gujarat state's commercial capital - came a day after several devices went off in the southern city of Bangalore.
The government has put other cities on alert, including Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur.
The bombs in Ahmedabad were detonated with timers in two phases, the first at about 1830 (1300 GMT), officials said. The second series of explosions caught some victims and their helpers arriving at hospitals.
At least two unexploded bombs were later defused in Ahmedabad and sent for forensic examination.
Another two unexploded bombs were also found in the nearby city of Surat.
The BBC's Zubair Ahmed said he saw about 60 people - some in a serious condition - being treated in a large hall at one of the hospitals in Ahmedabad.
They were surrounded by family and friends, many of whom were angry, saying the bombers wanted to cause a rift between Hindus and Muslims.
A doctor said they had been treating bomb blast victims when there was an explosion outside the hospital, after which there was chaos.
He said the whole building shook and the road outside was covered in blood.
In a statement on her website, President Patil "expressed her heart-felt condolences for the loss of life and urged the people of Ahmedabad to remain steadfast in this testing time and maintain peace and harmony".
Appeal for calm
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also condemned the attacks, and urged people to remain calm and maintain communal harmony.

Hospitals treating the injured were also targeted in the attacks
Narendra Modi, the controversial chief minister of Gujarat, said the "land of Mahatma Gandhi has been bloodied by terrorists whom we shall not spare".
"Terrorists are waging a war against India. We should be prepared for a long battle against terrorism," he warned.
Mr Modi has been accused of failing to protect Muslims in the riots in Gujarat during 2002 in which at least 1,000 people died, including many in Ahmedabad. The violence erupted when a fire broke out on a train carrying Hindu pilgrims, killing at least 59 people.
